The e-Skills for Jobs 2014 campaign aims to raise awareness of the need for citizens to improve their command of ICT skills for work. The campaign is a response to the growing demand for ICT-skilled professionals which is currently not met, despite high level of unemployment in Europe.

Innovation mixer
150 young entrepreneurs came to the mixer where we had 3 great presentations by other entrepreneurs. Sharing ideas and getting to know each other, discussing how IT entrepreneurs can change the world.

 

May 24-25 Lær kidsa koding (LKK) national event 

LKK is a value network for everyone in Norway who want to teach children IT, to guide anyone who wants to teach IT to children and young people, and to offer tools and education for those wishes to provide courses for children.

This weekend all volunteers meet to share experiences in Oslo.
During these days, there will be separate sessions for teachers and school leaders.
The objectives are:

  • Sharing of experiences
  • Having workshops
  • Discussing how to progress
  • To meet each other and celebrate what we all have achieved!

May 26 Entrepreneurship camp on IT at Norways largest secondary school.

Students get a short span of time, in this case three days, to solve an assignment. Work will result in a presentation, and often a model of the solution in addition to a business plan. Volunteers from the business community work as supervisors in the project, and sitting on the jury selecting the best proposals. The winning team will have the opportunity to present their idea on entrepreneurial co-working space Mesh.
